About

Growing up in a family of 5 in the town of New Britain, Connecticut (known as “Little Poland”) My parents and brothers immigrated from Poland to the United States in 1965. Fresh soup was an almost daily staple in our home. Fresh bread from local bakeries to go with it as well as fresh deli products from our locally owned/operated deli’s. I moved to Brownsville, Pennsylvania in 1998. I craved the simple food I grew up eating.

My sandwich shop has everything I missed as well as everything I love. I have many old photos of my family throughout the shop. I enjoy sharing stories of my family history with the wonderful people that find me off the beaten path in downtown Brownsville.

The Beatles have a special place in my heart and shop as well. In 2012 I had the honor of sitting with Sir Paul McCartney in the studio at Capital Records as he recorded. After which he autographed my back.

There are photo’s from that as well as other Beatles memorabilia (much of which has been gifted to me from many people that have been to the shop) To top it off I have my radio permanently set to the Beatles channel which everyone enjoys as well. Stop in, get a sandwich and a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. We have tables outside to enjoy as well.
